He also contributed to Brian Eno and David Byrne's influential plunderphonics blueprint My Life in the Bush of Ghosts and scored television series like Knots Landing.

Why His Vision Still Matters

Gleeson predicted decades early that computing power would eventually turn electronic music into a universal folk art. He saw that anyone with a laptop would soon have access to orchestras of oscillators. Yet, modern producers often forget the sheer physical labor required to make those early sounds work. He didn't have undo buttons or preset save menus. Every patch cable was a deliberate choice.

He spent his final years exploring quadraphonic sound and software platforms like Ableton, proving that his curiosity outlived generations of hardware trends.
